Noun

The name of any person, place, things, quality, condition, state and action is called Noun .

Ex.
  • Person : Ram, Mohan etc.
  • Place : Gaya, Patna etc.
  • Things : Pen, Chair, Fan etc.
  • Quality : Honest, Dishonest etc.
  • Condition : Illness etc.
  • Action : Solution, Additional etc.
  • Note :

    A Noun is naming word & Noun is the name of all things.

  • Proper Noun
  • A Proper Noun is the name of proper person, place or things.

    Ex. Ram, Sita, Ranchi etc.

    Note :

    Proper Noun is only one in all world and It's first letter start's in Capital .

  • Common Noun
  • A Common Noun is the name of a common person, place or things in general sense.

    Ex. Sita (Proper Noun) → Student (Common Noun)

    Linc (Proper Noun) → Pen (Common Noun)

    India (Proper Noun) → Country (Common Noun)

  • Collective Noun
  • A noun which comes in collection or having groups.

    Ex. Cattle, Police, Team, Group, Jury, Public etc.

  • Material Noun
  • A noun from which we make something or which can be weighter, measured.

    Ex. Wood, Water, Rice, Oil etc.

    Note :

    “ All eatables are called Material Noun. ”

  • Abstract Noun
  • A noun which can't be touched or seen, It can only feel.

    Ex. Love, Death, Honest, Beauty etc.

  • Countable Noun
  • A noun which can be counted.

    Ex. Pen,Chair, Boy, Girl etc.

    There are two types of Countable Noun :-

    1. Singular Noun
    2. Plural Noun
  • Uncountable Noun
  • A noun which can't be counted.

    Uncount → Singular → Water, Sand etc.
